80” Vehicles

80” Chassis No. stamped on top of lefthand engine bearer bracket. Vehicle No. (same as on bracket) on bulkhead inside vehicle.

(R86, R866, R061 series had it on bulkhead plate under bonnet by top of nearside wing).

Engines, gearboxes, front and rear axle numbers should be related to chassis numbers,but will be some/many digits later - due to spares and supplies for other vehicles being made and numbered at the same time.

There appears to conflicting information as to the location of the number on the chassis - but we think this is more or less right!! However, numbers stamped on chassis often cannot be found due to age and corrosion!

86” & 107”  On transfer box instruction plate on bulkhead inside vehicle. Also stamped on lefthand rear spring shackle bracket.

88” & 109”  Transfer box instruction plate. Also on righthand front spring shackle bracket.
